I. Introduction and legal justifications
Data protection has a particularly high priority at Maderthoner Maschinenbau GmbH. It is possible to use this website without attribution. However, if anyone wants to take advantage of a special offer using our website, it may be necessary to process their personal data. As soon as this becomes necessary, we will obtain consent from the data subject.
Our company processes personal data in accordance with legal regulations. In this Privacy Policy, we shall inform the public about the type, scope and purpose of their personal data so long as they are processed by us. Furthermore we shall hereby explain the rights data subjects have.
In principle, we use the technical and organisational options and measures available to us in order to provide the most seamless data protection possible. However, we would like to point out that data transfers over the internet may still have security gaps: therefore, absolute protection cannot be guaranteed. As a result, we would like to alert you to the option of communicating your personal data by other means, for example by phone or by post.
The following points are mainly based on the European General Data Protection Regulation GDPR and in accordance with the legal provisions in Germany. In addition to the points mentioned below, we would like to refer in particular to point (f) of Article 6(1) of the GDPR:
“… processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data, in particular where the data subject is a child.”
We are foregoing a definition which has already been explained in detail elsewhere.

However, these personal data will not be forwarded to a third party as a result..

IV. Collection of general data and information
Maderthoner Maschinenbau GmbH automatically collects and stores information the website visitor’s browser transmits to us in its server log files. These data are stored exclusively for internal system-related and statistical purposes. The data stored include:
• browser type and version,
• the operating system used by the data subject,
• the referrer URL, i.e. the page visited before ours,
• the “sub-websites” which are controlled via an accessing system on our website,
• hostname of the accessing computer / IP address,
• name of each accessed file,
• the amount of data transmitted,
• notification of successful retrieval,
• requesting domain,

• the ISP of the accessing system
as well as similar data and information for the purposes of averting danger in the event of an attack on our IT systems.
The data in the server logfiles are stored separately from all personal data. These data will not be merged with other sources of data. In this respect, all these data for Maderthoner Maschinenbau GmbH cannot be assigned to specific people.
We need the logfiles and their analysis in order to be able to maintain the quality and functionality of the website, and in order to provide the necessary information to law enforcement authorities in the event of a cyber-attack by a third party.

V. Using of Cookies und ajax.googleapis.com
Like many other websites, our website uses both cookies and the JavaScript library jQuery. In order to increase the loading speed of our website and thus give visitors a better user experience. we use inter alia the Google CDN (content delivery network) to load this library. It is highly likely that the user of our website has already used jQuery on another Google CDN website. In this case, the browser in question can use copies stored in the cache, meaning it doesn’t need to be downloaded again. If the browser doesn’t have a copy stored in the cache or the browser downloads the file from the Google CDN for another reason, the browser will resend the data subject’s data to Google Inc. (“Google”). By clicking on the button that appears upon visiting our website for the first time and gives a brief outline of the above situation, visitors agree that their data will be transferred to the USA.
We also use cookies – text files – which are filed and stored on a computer system via the browser. Many such cookies contain a cookie ID; a unique identifier by which websites and servers can be assigned to a specific browser. This enables individual differentiation of the browser, which can be recognised and identified by a unique cookie ID. We only use such cookies in order to be able to optimise and provide more user-friendly services – this wouldn’t be possible without placing cookies.
If you don’t want to have cookies on your computer, you can prevent their placement at any time – and even object to their placement permanently – through the appropriate setting in your browser. Cookies which have already been placed can be erased at any time via your browser or another appropriate piece of software. However, it is possible that not all functions of our website can be fully used in that case.

VI. Use of web analysis tools
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. (www.google.de). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies” (see V.), which makes it possible to analyse the use of the website. The information produced in this way regarding the usage of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If IP anonymisation is activated on this website, Google will abbreviate your IP address first within Member States of the European Union or in other signatory states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will your full IP address sent to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. IP anonymisation has been activated on this website. Google will use this information on behalf of the website operators in order to evaluate your use of this website, compile reports on the website activities and to perform other services associated with usage of the website and internet usage for the website operator. IP addresses transmitted to Google Analytics in this context are not merged with other data by Google. The comments in section V of this Privacy Policy shall apply in connection with the non-approval or erasure of cookies. In addition, users can prevent the processing of data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link:

If you are logged into Google, your data are assigned directly to your account. If you do not wish for Google to allocate these data to your profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as user profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or designing its website in line with requirements. Such an evaluation is carried out (even for users not logged in) in particular for the purpose of providing needs-based advertising and to inform other social network users about your activities on our website. You have the right to appeal against the creation of these user profiles – you must contact Google to exercise this right.
More information about the purpose and scope of the data collection and processing by the plug-in provider can be found in the privacy policy of the provider. You’ll also find more information about your rights in this regard there, as well as settings options for protecting your privacy:

More information on YouTube can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/yt/about/de/. As part of this technical process, YouTube and Google are informed which specific subpages of our website are visited by the data subject.
